Center for Clinical and Basic Research (CCBR) Bucharest is a part of CCBR International Research Sites and the number one partner in Clinical Research. The areas of activities are the following: scientific clinical research, supervision of research. CCBR is a recognised world leader in the field of osteoporosis and other bone diseases research. Doctor Claus Christiansen has built clinical research unit in one of the major university hospitals in Copenhagen (Denmark) in the late seventies. In 1992 Dr. Claus Christiansen established the CCBR. The activity started from one clinic, nowadays CCBR has grown to fifteen clinical sites in Denmark, Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania, Poland, China, Hon Kong, Brazil, India and Argentina. CCBR is a health care institution working in the area of clinical research and public health education. Our center is focused on postmenopausal women’s health issues and diseases, like osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, arterial hypertension, type 2 diabetes, obesity.
